What is Tinnitis?
Tinnitis is the perception of sound in the absence of an acoustic stimulus and is heard only by the patient.
This can develop after a mild Traumatic Brain Injury (MTBI).
The force transmitted through the brain causing brain injury is also transmitted to the middle ear and inner ear, causing disruption to their function leading to tinnitis.
